How to remove batch management flag in table VBAP

Hello Everyone!

I would like to ask if there is a report/correction program that would remove the batch management flag in table VBAP for certain items? This flag causes an issue when we try to post a goods issue for the delivery created linked to sales order. Note that the sales order is created prior to removing the batch management flag of the items in the material master (via program RVBREVMATBM) that's why we need to remove the batch management flag (VBAP-XCHAR, VBAP-XCHPF) in the order.

Note that I still don't want to stick with a solution wherein we just need to modify table VBAP manually via SE16N. 😃

You can contact SAP service at service.sap.com It looks they have a program for this as per OSS Note 533383 - Resetting batch management requirement but may cost for their service.

I am also not a fan of using SE16N and in very rare occasion I used. If you could not find any program and the number of documents are small, then SE16N is the only option (if you don't want to delete/put reason for rejection in the sales order).

Hi

You are using correct program which will use to remove batch for both master data and transaction  data.

In RVBREVMATBM report at bottom choose "select SD Document Material Number related"

then system will remove existing sales order batch of respective material.
