Migo error-Deficit of sl unrestricted use of 100 kg

Hi,

I am from FICO background.MM guys please resolve my query.

While posting a MIGO transaction (goods issued to the cost center with movement type 261)system is showing error DEFICIT OF SL UNRESTRICTED USE 100 KG MAT /PLANT /STORAGE LOCATION.

I have checked in mmbe and mb52 where stock of unrestricted use is 100 quantity.

Please guide how to resolve the error in steps.

Check the Storage Location you are issuing is right one.

Hi Ranjan,

Please confirm the UOM maintain in the material. Is the UOM that you are going to issue same with the UOM in the MMBE and MB51.

Hi Ranjan,

Please check for the stock in Sloc. It may occur the stock be visible in MMBE in the plant but the Storage location may be different. Could you please add the screenshots in the thread, which will help us to identify the problem.

Go to MB53 report and find out if that 100 is "trapped" at all (ATP for a sales order etc)...

Next check the posting date for which you are doing stock transfer... It could be that you are trying to post the movement earlier then when stock was actually added to the system. This was the reason for a similar issue I had.

MOvement type 261 is issue against order, it should not be the reason for the message. Check in which area the stock is lying, in unrestricted or in quality ? If in quality release the stock from quality using QA32 to unrestricted stock.

HI,

Mvt for Goods issue against  cost center is 201 .But you said that you are using 261 MVT anyway check the quantity of the material with correct unit of measure as the material may be maintained with differ unit of measure.

Normally issuing against a cost center is done by using a 201 movement type as described by Ranjan...

A 261 is usually against some type of work order which has  cost center and Gl account tied to it in the backgroud
