SAP BPC 7.5 for MS .NET requirement

Hi Xperts,

We are in the process of upgrading "SAP BPC 5.1 for Microsoft" version to "BPC 7.5 for Microsoft" version.

According to our company's policy is , .NET Framework 3.5 sp1 is NOT permitted technology. We are planning to use Win server 2008 R2  (64bit) operating syteim with SQL SErver 2008 64 Bit for DB.
BPC 7.5 for Microsoft version installation document says, .NET 3.5 SP1 is a required components for BPC to work.

We have been told to use the .NET 4.0 framework and my question is
**  Is there a work around to use .NET 4.0 framework for BPC 7.5 (MS Version) instead of .NET 3.5 SP1 ? **

Please kindly provide any suggestion.

Thanks

****** it seems BPC 10.0 for MS does work with .NET 4.0.

Hi,

As given in the BPC 7.5 MS Installation Guide you need to use the .NET version of 2.0 and 3.5 SP1 framework as suggested. If you check the latest BPC 7.5MS SP07 it tells to install .NET framework 2.0. Please check the Note below. So, I don't think there is a workaround rather than installing .NET 2.0 and 3.5 version.

You are correct from BPC 10.0 MS version you can use .NET version of 4.0
