Manual serial no overlab with internal serial number

Hi All,

Please ,  some losses happen in data as a result of not complete back up , i need to enter sap document manually , Can I make all SAP documents with manual serial number as a complete to internal serial  number  (Ex. in sales order ,i enter sales order number manual by my hand ,last internal serial number for sales document 120002025, the next manual serial number  is 120002026, i.e. enter manual serial number overlap with external serial number  )

  Hi,

For your understanding:

In SAP the Sales and Distribution document number object is “RV_BELEG”.  You can check the same in “SNRO” transaction.

   Table “NRIV” contains the actual Number range intervals.

The number ranges defined here are assigned in Sales document type configuration in "VOV8".

As you can see that the Internal number range and External number range doesn't overlap and you can not maintain external number same as the internal number during sales order entry.

O.K., can i change internal number range to be external , so i can enter serial no. manually,then change it to be internal serial no.
