incorrect material type or plant in MM01

hi,

I done my all configuration but after that when creating material i am getting error "Operation not possible (e.g. incorrect material type or plant)'".

I check my all configuration ,all the assignment to plant ,everithing bt still this message showing.

Also Check the configuration in T-code OMSA, OMS3.

I think this is the error you are getting.. M3327 - Operation not possible (e.g. incorrect material type or plant) - M3 327

This error is mainly because of wrong OMS2 settings, go to OMS2 and check whether you maintained all the necessary views for that material type and check you entered quantity/value updates for all the relevant plants..

I check all the views and setting but still it not allow me to create material in mm01.....plz can u tell me what exactly wrong there becoz i check all the settings of configuration .

Use T-code OMSA and check all the views are maintained if not then maintain for your plant KDEVALBPQSZXCFG maintainence status.

Hi prabhu,

Please ensure that qty and value updation is activated for your material type in OMS2 trx for the particular plant. Also  ensure that you are  giving the same plant while creating the material in MM01 after selecting the organizational level.

can you elaborate what all config you had done and which material type are you trying to create?

this could be also because of no plant parameters maintained.

if we create a plant, we would not get associated parameters copied.

hi,

all configuration means i did all the configuration for my plant but when creating material 'mm01' then it shows error  "Operation not possible (e.g. incorrect material type or plant)'". and it not allow me to create any material  .In configuration i used all the standard things for material type.I check all the assignment plz tell what is the problem.
