HI,

My requiement is i am getting two diffrent exception message for single item.But in MD04 and MD05 it displays one message for the item by double clicking it shows two exception message.

For eg

for item 1 - Exception mesaage is 07 & 10 is displayed by double click.But in Md04 and Md05 it displays only message 07.

I need to see both the message for a single item in two different lines in Md04 or Md05.

Is there any possibilities?

What is the reason for only one message is displayed?

Thanks & Regards,

MBN

It is not possible in standard SAP to display two line items for two different exception messages for the same MRP element in question in MD04.

Reason is SAP has provided something called Priority for these messages.

Go to SPRO-->MRP-->Evaluation-->Exception messages-->Define and group exception messages.

You will see that Exception 10 has a priority of 10 and Exception 7 with a priority of 7. Higher number has the higher priority.

Think you made a typo in your message. You should be seeing 10 in your MD04 and not 07. Please check and confirm.

HI,

I checked in customizing for priority.Here its puts me in to confusion.

In my example i get two messages 07 and 10

in customizing for 07 the priority set as 11 and for 10 it set as 10.So as per your statement it should pick 11(highest) and display in md04 /md05 but it displays 07.

I am confused.Even i read in SAP materials highest number will have top priority.

I am using Ecc 6.0

Thanks in advance,

Badri.

Have a look at the config details again.

Exception message:
10-->Reschedule in
07-->Finish date in past

Priority exception message:
10-->Reschedule in
07-->Finish date in past
and
11-->Reschedule out

From the above we can clearly see that your system settings has been changed.
11 priority exception message should be assigned to exception message 15 and only then it makes sense.

In your case because of the changes 07 is having 11 and 10 is with 10, and so 07 message has got the priority and is displayed in MD04.

If you are seeing this in your dev system you can x-check with your production system settings also.

Dear Badri,

Assuming in a procurement proposal there are 2 different exception numbers that has been generated,say

for example

Exception  10 = Reschedule in (01.02.12)

           07 = Finish date in the past,

Now in MD04,you will be able to see the display as follows,

01.02.2012 IndReq BSF /TTKP   998.00- 998.00-

26.02.2012 PrcOrd 000055000024/ZP10 01.02.2012 10 998.00  0.00  0001

Exception message no 10 will get displayed and when you click on details you can find 7 also,which is a

standard SAP behaviour.

Mr.Badri, With the confirmation from the other user also that that we will see EM 10 and on details the EM 07 also, your doubt should now be cleared and there is no more confusion. Can you drive this message towards closure?
