Update rules for an ODS

hai,

I have an ODS that has update rules and is presently being used. THe data comes from R/3 to ODS and the to a cube. Now I created a new ods copying the old one(with "copy from" option while creation). I activated the cube and everything is fine tillthis point. But when I right click and select"Create update rules for this new ods, it says "Executing the function" and then nothing happens.

Can anybody tell me whats going wrong?

Even i have same problem,i have created new ODS with out "copy" function.

it says "Executing the function" in status bar and then nothing happens

If you get any solution please let me know ..

Hi Shan,

Run the program RSDG_ODSO_ACTIVATE (from SE38) and specify your ODS name -> execute it-> and then try creating update rules. Hope it helps,

I have tried using prog. RSDG_ODSO_ACTIVATE,but still not able to create update rule.

I am not able to delete update rules also, any other solution appreciated.

Hi Shan,

If you say that you cannot delete URs then you did create them? Or you are talking about another URs?

And have you looked at the system log (tcode SM21)?

mmmhhh...I reproduced your scenario in my system and everything goes well...did you try to search for some OSS note ?
