User mapping in WAS Java without EP

Hello Experts-

I have a Web Dynpro Java application that I will be deploying on an instance of SAP Web Application Server Java. Enterprise Portal will NOT be installed on this server.

I have created an SAP R/3 system in the System Landscape Directory that provides data to this application.

I need to be able to map users (Java UME to ABAP) on this back-end system.

I have done this before on the portal by creating back-end systems through the System Landscape Editor and then configuring user mapping. I want to know how I can configure user mapping (and then map users) in WAS Java without the portal application.
