SYSTEM_NO_ROLL error only for 1 SAP ID

Dear Team,

User facing SYSTEM_NO_ROLL error only for his SAP ID while executing report. he is able to get report data as he desired, but when try to convert it into excel, he get error. we tried with other SAP IDs(using same report, same selection criteria etc) it's successfull.  Please be noted issue facing with only his SAP ID

Find details of error:

Runtime Errors -> SYSTEM_NO_ROLL

Short text-> Unable to fulfil request for 973266888 bytes of memory space

Error analysis->

    More main memory area was requested.

    However, all the available space has been used up.

    Possible reasons->

    - Many (large) internal tables.

    - Many (large) programs active.

    - Deep nesting of subroutines with a lot of local data.

Information on where terminated- Termination occurred in the ABAP program "CL_SALV_BS_TT_ALVXML==========CP" -

after analyzing, we found there is issue with customize report .

Can you explain a bit more on the cause of this error? We have the similar situation with the same error for 1 user only.

Our was resolved since user trying to fetch data for 2 years in one go. We have asked him to take lesser data at a time.

Do you have app servers installed? If yes then are the app server hold the same parameters or differ?

Hi Sumit,

Can you please tell me the following question..

1.which version of MS EXCEL installed in the system

2. Is that user face this issue in other system also and your other SAP ids also face the same issue in that system?

I search and found that " MS office -2003 version then Ms excel has a limitation of 65536 rows, this might be causing the error." if so then you can try MS excel 2007 or greater versions .

I am not sure it will solve or not but you can try for that.Hope this will help you.

I think there is no connection between application server & this issue.

Anyhow, we have same parameters in APP. & CI.

Only, 1 user facing this problem.

2. no, that's a problem. only 1 particular SAP ID facing this issue, he tried using other SAP IDs, success...

Please let me know more details.

1. Does the user gets this dump immediately after loggin in ?

2.Does the user gets the dump while running all transactions or any particular transaction. If so what is that transaction ?

3. Please provide sm21 error logs if any for that user.

  Hi,

1.  no, when user execute that T-code-> input selection criteria for report-> desired report generated(around 80000 line items)->when user try to convert it into excel -> get dump.

but user's colleagues are able to convert more than 1 lac line items using same T-code, same selection criteria etc..

2. User get dump for particular T-code. That's customize t-code not any SAP standard

3. SM21 error:

Hi,

As dump says, system no roll memory. check in ST02 if this problem persists then change Roll area parameter.
