Hi experts,

I am planning to configure CHARM in solution manager. I would like to know do I need to change transport route in DEV, QAS and PRD in my existing ECC6 landscape?

Your suggestions will be highly appreciable

Os--Linux 5.0

DB--oracle 10g ECC 6.0

Hi Vivek,

Please login to your SAP Solution Manager. Goto T-code SPRO -> SAP Solution Manager -> Scenario Specific Settings -> Change request Management.

This guide will explain you step by step process and execution steps.

You can also refer the below link which is very nice for charm.

Please refer the charm config guide in Service Marketplace if you are using SAP Solution Manager 7.1

Hi,

It depends on your current TMS setup and the transport Process you want to enforce as per the CHARM implementation.

For example: in our case - once a TR is released from DEV system, it used to hit the transport buffer queue of the QAS and PRD system directly - as our TMS route was setup that way. But as we implemented CHARM, we wanted a sequential add to transport buffer. Like once TR released from DEV, it should hit only the QAS transport buffer. Once imported to QAS, then should be added to PRD. CHARM also supports this type of transport route and hence checks if TMS routes are setup correctly. Hence I would suggest you to revisit your TMS routes in case they are non-standard or else CHARM will report errors.

Hope it helps.
