Hi frnds,
we have a delta monthly load to a cube from six source systems( All R3) schedulled by a
infopackage group, Now the problem is .... except one infopackage all the other five the
delta load has failed 4 months back , update type is only PSA ,update subsequently in data target
now i have to reload the cube from the 5 Source systems with all the data (delta) for the last 4 months ,
i have planned to delete the failed request from the PSA ,
Initialize delta without data transfer
and schedule the infopackage ..
I would like to know ............
is there a better way of doing this?
is there anything mandary to perform before this?
Thanks form any of your sugesstions,
SS
Arun is right. You can reload from the PSA package by package. If you reinit you will never know what the problem was. Before you start the reload you will have to delete the failed loads. You will have to do this carefully because the valid packages might also get deleted. In this case you will have to reload some of the valid packages too.
Hope it works well for you.

going by what you have sent , you have failed delta which means that the init was successful. Go into the PSA - check what the error was and load the delta from PSA. That way you :
1. Do not have to init again
2. You will not have the problem of delta pointers in R/3 which would be current and you would want delta for an older date.
This mightbe actually the best way but then again it depends on how many requests you have to upload manually.

Hi Sathya,
I dont find any reason of doing Init again even without data transfer.
Can you please tell what is the reason of failures any error message.
Otherwise try to reconstruct the delta.
Hope this helps.
