Getting 100 of mails even though I am nt following

Hi,

In old SCN, we have option like follow the thread. then only we would get mails for all updated fourm messages.

that was a very good feature. I loved it.

While coming new SCN, even though I am not particularly folowing the thread, I am getting mails for all updated messges.

wht this is happening? every day I receive 100 of mails, which make me feel very uncomftable .

I dont need updates of the threads which I am not following. What is the use ,at the end of the day I am deletting the mails even with out reading.

could any confirm and clarify me that am I only facing this problem ?

Hi Suresh,

You can control the eMails by:

• Following only spaces you want to be notified on
• Updating your eMail settings:
  1. Go to your profile
  2. Go to the bio tab
  3. In the actions box on the right side, click Edit preferences
  4. Update the settings under Send me email notifying me about

I choose to receive eMails only on Direct social actions and set Communications as the landing page. Another trick is to use message rules in you eMail application so you can direct the notifications to a separate folde: this way you never miss anything!

I changed my email preferences several days ago but I'm still getting lots of messages. I have not responded to or started any threads.

just follow JASON instructions.

I did the same thing and stop receiving unnecessary e-mails.

Hi Jason,

Even after making changes in my profile as mentioned above by Jason Lax,but still not controlled from flowing of messages into my mail account.

Please advice what steps still need to follow?

Hi Suresh,

You get mails for the threads which you have posted or you have replied to or you are following it.

In your case is it that you have not replied/posted/following the thread and still getting Mails regarding them?

In my case i do get mails but only for the threads i have replied/posted or followed.
