We are using SAP MII 12.1 SP 8 Build 46.
Can anyone tell whether MII 12.1 is fully supported by IE 7 or higher. Because we find out the same thing runs ok with IE 6 but not with with IE 7 or higher.
Is there any specific browser requirement for running MII 12.1 SP 8 ?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
hi Abhiroop:
What we use is turn on the compatibility view into the browser. It is beside the refresh icon. This method works for us into IE8 and IE9
If you use a after 6.021 JRE version you are going to face with Java Security into java applets, in best practices document for 12.2 MII version said that its probably that you have to change your url to include login and password.
Hope this work for you

Hi Abhiroop,
As Jeremy said, your issues are mostly with the JRE, on the client side. Make sure you have JRE 1.6.0_23, or earlier installed on the client computer, where you run IE8/9. Also, make sure the browser is "trusting" the MII server in delivering applets (active content) applets and their actions are not hindered by the browser security settings.
If you need to use later JRE versions please make sure you understand and configure correctly the Java package. There were known authentication issues a while back with JRE 1.6.0_29 which can be solved with a fix posted on the forums here (search for Pedro’s fix).
Hope it helps

I have IE 8 on my laptop, and it works fine for all the 12.1 and 12.2 versions I've encountered. What are the symptoms, error messages, you are seeing. Is it applets, or perhaps javascript where the problem is coming from?

Based upon your symptoms, it is more likely the Sun JRE client that renders the applet, or some JavaScript on the page that is having timing issues (especially if the applet is being addressed in the script like in the body onload tag).
Check the client java console for error messages, and look for the yellow script error icon on the lower left.
