Hi,

As per my understanding, when a billing document is created, the revenue account is determined and the revenues are posted to an account which is of a P&L statement account type.

The question is, can the account (in which the revenue is getting posted to) be of a Balance Sheet Account type. We have a requirement where the revenue needs to be posted to a Balance sheet account. Is it possible ?

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Thanks.

Dear Friend,

Yes it is possible.Generally revenue accounts can be created in both account type(P/L account or Balance sheet account).it is depends on the business requirement. If you want to post to P/L then use the account which is created by account type P/L or if you want to post revenues to the balance sheet then use account created by the account type Balance sheet account.

Note: Consult your FI consultant and have brief discussion of your business requirement.

Thank you,

Regards,
