Dynamically Creating AdHoc Workflow??

Former Member

Hi,

I would like to know if there are APIs available for creating adhoc workflow and triggering it dynamically .

The scenario is..... from WebDynpro application, I would like to create the workflow with simple approval cycle(it may be of 2 steps only.) for some kind of document processing and content manager should approve that to convert it to a final version.

I was thinking of using Collaboration Tasks for this purpose but for that also I've not found any APIs.

So, can anyone direct me to make this thing work??

Regards,

Mausam

Hi .. Here are some snapshots of the WebDynpro I created last month just for RF study purpose only .

http://tw.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/bogiwou/album?.dir=f782&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//tw.ph...

(ps.1) In the SP11 and above , the "Recent Notification" inbox is integrated into UWL

(ps.2) Some Libraries ( ISubscription , IStatementManagement ... ) are not installed ,you have to copy from the EP server with KM installed

and use it in your WebDynpro project

Hi Mausam,

There are no API's to create/trigger Workflow dynamically. You can only use UWL or collaboration launch pad to create AdHoc Workflow task.

I believe your scenario is covered in the "ActionInbox" items (with KM)

Have you installed KM also? Are your documents in KM? If so KM has something called StateManagement Service, that takes

care of it.

Hi Kiran,

Thanks for replying.

But can you give me some more idea about "what is ActionInbox?"

Yaa, I've installed KM, I'm having documents in various repositories.

And what are all the facilities that KM StateManagement Services give??

Thanks and regards,

Mausam
