In SAP HANA PAM (February 2012), What is the first page for? Second page is for single server, and third page is for scale out.
Hello Glen,
page 1 and 2 are both for single node appliances. The difference is just in the CPUs and Westmere has more cores (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nehalem_(microarchitecture) ).

How would I get a copy of the HANA PAM and does it show when different apps will run on HANA and when they will run in HANA complex?

Hi Rob,
SAP provide a "SAP HANA PLATFORM EDIT. 1.0" PAM at http://service.sap.com/PAM and then search for HANA. You need a SAP Service Marketplace S* userid and password.
In PDF format its available at this URL, but you still need an S* usertid and password to access it:
http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700000701932011E
This will tell you which certified hardware from which hardware vendors is available, for both single (scale up) nodes and multiple (scale out) nodes but nothing else.
If you search the PAM for "HANA" you will also see a number of other results showing different Apps available on HANA, such as:
- EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 ON HANA
- SAP SOL. MANAGER 7.1 ON HANA
- SAP HANA CLOUD INTEGRATION(Data Services)
- SAP B1 ANALYTICS 1.1 ON HANA
and more...
Hope this helps.
Cheers, Phil G.
