Required Inventory Level

How do you use the required inventory level?  Does it take into account the lead time and the routing days or does the min inventory level take into account the lead time and routing days?

Wayne

Hi Fred,

Also , If you select Release Inventory Below Minimum Level in the Document Settings, the system issues alerts when the quantity goes below the minimum. The system does not let you enter inventory documents when the inventory reaches its maximum quantity.

Lead time is taken into considered in MRP wizard plus additionally in item availability check system shows you the orders beyond item's lead time provided you tick the option.

Thanking you

Gordon,

I am trying to get use to this new interface.  When I look at my communications it does not show a button to close the thread.  Do I select stop tracking?  Let me know.

No. You just need to mark Helpful or Correct answer to close your thread.

Hi Fred,

You need to mark the 'Correct answer' to the answer which is correct and the same will close the thread.

Liking a post  - gives the expert posting 2 points.

Helpful answer - gives 5 points

Correct answer - gives 10 points and closes the thread.

Kind Regards,

Jitin

Under What Matters: Communications.  I have the replies from my questions.  The lastest activity shows your reply, but there is no button stating correct answer.  I just had a thought while writing my reply.  I am using google chrome.  I will try explorer and see if the buttons show.

Same thing in explorer.  Can someone tell me if there is another screen that will show me the buttons for correct answer or what the issue is.  Can we go back to the old interface .

I figured it out.  I need to click on the x minutes ago and it will open up with all of the replies and it shows the buttons for correct or helpful answer.  They should show the same buttons on the right side of the page where I can reply to someone's answer.

I will close my threads.

Regards,

Fred

Hi Fred.....

The purpose of Required Inventory Level is that
If your inventory level across the company falls below the Required (Purchase UoM) quantity you defined, in a purchase document, the application suggests a minimum quantity to fulfill the inventory level required.

It means if you have an Item ABC and define its Required Level as 5 and if its instock is less than 5 or let say zero and if you are raising Purchase Order for this Item it automatically takes the Qty as 5 in PO.

Please check the same as I explained to you......
Hope this helps you.....

Regards,
Rahul
