How to Link from one EP6 SP11 Portal to Another EP5 SP6 Portal

Dear All,

We would like to know if it is possible to link from

an EP6 SP11 NW04 portal to the km repository of an existing EP5 SP6 Portal.

We have recreated a content on the new EP6 portal and would like just a link to the documents on the old EP5 SP6 portal. We still have the EP5 SP6 portal running with its TREX server live.

Please advise, on any ideas

Hi Arun,

a very simple approach is to define a WebDAV repository on Portal A pointing to a repository on Portal B.

This works out of the box. However there are some disadvantages:

1. You have to take care of possibly different userid's

on the two portals.

2. WebDAV does not transfer km meta data that may be defined in the source portal.

Next approach would be to use the ICE protocol between the two portal. This should be available in Your portal versions.

If You just would like to link to existing documents in another portal try the first idea.

Trexx should also work.
