Variant Configuration

Hi Experts,

1.My material is a config.mat and a BOM ,the item category determined in the sales order is TAC and the bom is not exploding in the sales order,wheras it shoudl explode and the item category should remain as TAC as per my understanding

The follwing are the settings maintained
Header material item category group 0002
sub item Item category grp is Norm
Item category assignment- OR  0002 TAC

Config profile also released

2.Error while creating sales order : Pricing error: Mandatory condition VA00 is missing

No condition record maintained for pr00 and records are maintained for VA00 but it's not picking

Hi,

As you are dealing with the Variant Configured material kindly re-check all your configuration settings for the material.

Re-check for Variant Price characteristics

and in configuration profile

And in VK11 you need to maintain the records for "VA00" for the variants

And if all the above are perfect then recheck at sales order for the "Pricing Analysis tab"

Revert back for clarifications.

The item category is not a problem, I feel

Possible reasons for the issues

1) No BOM explosion: Check for the BOM explosion settings in Configuration profile.

          a) The setting should not be None.

          b) The BOM application should be proper. Means if selected Planned/Production Order then application is PP01 and for Sales order (SET) SD01.

          c) There should be a valid BOM for the Configurable Material with usage and Status active.

2) Pricing Error: System not able to find proper condition record for Mandatory VA00 condition type.

          a) Check the condition record getting inferred through VC in sales order and the record maintained in VK11 matches.

          b) Check for the dates of validity for the condition record and the deletion indicator not set.

          c) Also please refer SAP note 35820 which may be valid in your case.
