Process chains - Furthur Update

Hi All,

I created a Process chain for oading data into ODS and trying to load data into other ODS . I used Furthur Update (Update ODS data into Other ODS ) Process but i am not able to load the data into the other ODS.

Manually we have options like full,init and delta for furthur update but how can we give these options for the process Furthur Update in process chains and shall we have to do the init run manually before we process the furthur update in process chains?.

If so what is the Proceduire to update an ODS by using a furthur Update.

Suggest me some solutions

Hi Mike,

In our production system we have created seperate infopackages for Init and delta loads.

I understand that i need to do a init on the export datasource like (8ODS1) and then schedule it manually,

then create the Infopackage for delta update and use it in the process chain using the load data,Activate ODS Processes ..so what is the use of the process Update ODS object data(Furthur Update) process?. if i can load the data by using the normal loading procedure for the ODS.

i will be happy if you can share some docs

and throw some light on the usage of Furthur Update

Hi Mike,

Another thing is that even if your InfoPackage is set with the option PSA and Subsequently update to data target, you need to include the process Update from PSA for the data to move forward.

Hi Mike,

Just create two separate InfoPackage for both the ODS and include both the InfoPackage in Process Chain and finally schedule it.

I am assuming that you have already created Export Datasource and all as you are updating data from one ODS to another .
