Screen painter and user data sources

Since checkboxes and combo boxes need to be bound to user data sources does anyone know of any plans to allow the screen painter to create user data sources?

Do developers just rename the form.srf file to form.xml and edit the datasources by hand if the screen painter is used?

I'd be interested in hearing what other programmers do in this situation.

Thanks!

Personally I don't use the screen painter. I create the SRF's directly in an XML editor, normally by copying an existing one and them modifying it. Once you have a small library of SRF's for reference, I find this technique is much more productive.

The lack of features such as user data sources in the screen painter has been raised with SAP development, although I am not aware of any definate plans to provide these features.

    John.
