SE30. Editing "tips and tricks"

Dear consultans,

We have a system version ecc6.0. with Support Package SAP_BASIS SAPKB70107 and the user want to edit the tips and tricks sql options.

I have another system version ecc6.0 with Support Package SAP_BASIS SAPKB70017 and it shows editing mode.

I read the SAP note 1465138 but the solution is deactivate change mode and not activado change mode.

Could you help me?

Best regards,

Julene González

Do I understand correctly, you want that editing mode in SAP_BASIS SAPKB70107 as well? Looking at the note, there seems to be no way to bring this back, as it was (correctly) seen as a security gap and fixed.

It still works in SAP_BASIS SAPKB70017 only because there the fix comes with SP 22, apparently.

Hi Thomas,

I run into the same problem on BW7.3.

Can you please tell me why this should be a security issue, if a user can wirte programs, she/he can do write any code, so why not within SE30 ?

I used this functionality pretty often during implementation and now I have to implement the whole time keeping stuff on my own, to my mind this is silly over done.

Kind regards,
