Task List Usage

Hello Experts,

I am new to QM module and we have 3 inspection plan created with 51,52, & 5 usage. When I do the GR it is always picking usage 5. I just want to know is there any master data defining when and where this 51 & 52 should be picked.

Expecting your guidance on this.

Check QCC3-->Inspection lot creation->Maintain Inspection type ->say inspection type '01'->Task list Usage.

here you define which task list Usage to be used for which inspection type..

Thanks for your imediate reply, information was very helpful. Can you please tell me how can i trigger usage 51 or 52 inspection lots. Because when ever i do the GR for PO it is picking usage 5.

Please explain on this part,my material master is defined with the inspection type 101 & 102.

Hi normally we use 51 and 52 for model inspections like 0101 or 0102.The origin is 01. These inspections can be triggered for model inspection/ Source inspection and these task list can be assigned based on the inspection type set up as suggested by sujith. if you create a status profile and assign it to QI info record/ do source inspection and you want to inspect the initial samples with a different quality plan than the regular supply then you can use these inspection types and these task lists.

I presume that GR for PO it is picking usage 5 means in customization you have maintained Usage 5 for 01.

Now consider that you want 51 or 52 Usage ,then you must define the same in customization ,say against Inspection type 101 & 102.

Also you have to make sure that you must trigger lot of inspection type 101 or 102 .

For this you have to make 101 as preffered inspection type in QM view ,inspection setup.This will trigger inspection lot of 101 inspection type and hence usage 51 task list will be picked.

I hope you understood the basic concept.

Thanks for your information, yes i am also expecting the same. Can you please explain little more detail on QI info record, how to maintain.

Also can you tell me how system understand this is for first time and select usage 51 or 52 ?

Hi ,

Please find the steps below.

1. you need to assign the task list to different inspection types (51 for 0101, 5 for 01, etc) in SPRO -> Quality management -> Quality inspection -> Inspection lot creation -> Maintain inspection types.

2.Create on status profile using SPRO>Quality Management>QM IN LOGISTIC>DEFINE STATUS OF SUPPLY RELATION SHIP>MAINTAIN STATUS PROFILE. (You can also use the standard profile as QM_P_001)

3. you need to assign the inspection type to the status using SPRO>QM>QM IN LOGISTIC>DEFINE STATUS OF SUPPLY RELATION SHIP>>Assign delivery status for inspection type ..what we want to assign here

4.activate 01 type and 0101 in material master.

5. Create task list for the material 05 and 51.

6. Asign this profile in QI info record for the material vendor.

7. Create a new PO for the material

8. When you do the GR every time you do the UD the status ll change and you can see the task list for different inspection types.
