use of FIELD in Attribute SQL Query

Hi folks,

Back in 7.1 you could use %FIELD.[attributename]% in a sql query defining an identity store attribute's values.

Does anyone know if this functionality was lost in 7.2? Can't seem to get it to work.

Thanks,

Matt

Found out this is the result of a bug in 7.2 SP3, to be addressed in 7.2 SP4 which is due "soon"

Hi Matt,

I am trying to use '%FIELD.[attributename]%' with 7.2 SP8 and am facing the same problems as you did back then. Did you somehow solve the problem?

Thanks,

Moritz

Mortiz,

I wouldn't be surprised if the bug has come back.  I'll try to do some testing today on it.

What database are you using?

Hi Moritz,

did you consider that note:

Note: Both

fields must be

defined as "Single value" with presentation type "Single select"?

It does not work as soon as you use other storage or presentation types.

So it seems I can't get it to work in SP8 either.  Maybe time to log a note?

Hi Norman,

both fields are of type "single value" and "single select".

One of the fields I am trying to use is a reference attribut, which is not mentioned within the note not be usable.

I also tried with a genereal attribut and didnt succeed either.

I was able to get it to work, however I had to change the Presentation to Radio Button.  I did make it READ ONLY as a safeguard.

However since this is a query that is only used for informational purposes (in my usecase) it wouldn't really matter if the user selected a value.
