Showing key and text in query input screen

I am an ABAP consultant and have to make some changes to BW bex queries. Please help

I have a characteristic value variable in a Bex query. When i run the query the pick up list shows key values

for this infoobject/variable. I would like the pick up list to show both values and corressponding descriptions

in the Bex query. How can I do that?

Hi,

To display both Text and Key in Bex query Selection Query, please follow below steps

1. go to RSA1 and display the corresponding Info  Object

2. go to tab " BUSINESS EXPLORER"

3. under General Settings--> Disply--> select KEY and TEXT

4. Save and activate Info Obj

Check in your query designer.

Open Your Query designer --> Open your query --> Go to ROWS / f ilters --> select your InfoObject, now you can find the properties of this object at Right hand side, Go to Display Tab--> Select Display as "Key & Text" and SAVE..

Run the query and check it.. both Key & Texts are available. Thanks.

3) Yo should check the info Object settings in the infocube: Right click on the infocube -> Modify, Then right click on the respective info object -> infoprovider specific properties, Then choose "Key & Text" in the display properties.

Hi,

If you want to show key and text for pick up list of characteristic variable then you need to check two things:

1) check if you have selected key and text as display for that particular infoobject for which you need to show key and text at bex level only.

To do the same select that characteristic in designer and on right hand side panel hit the display tab and choose key and text.

2) By default on variable screen it picks up the short text of the infoobject on which you made variable.If in case you have not maintained the short text then it will show only key in place of text also in pickup list.

Select Characteristics properties in query designer -> Display -> Display as Key and Text / Text and key as per requirement.

Hi

On the right top( tool bar) u will find the icon , when u click on it , it displays like a drop down box , there it will displays the key, key[text],[text]key, text.

There u have to select as per u rwish.
