Portal Navigation exception

Hi everyone,

I wrote in the wdDoInit method the following :

WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute("ROLES://portal_content/com.mrc.company_dev/user/iviews/se38",

WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE,

(String)null,

(String)null,

WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.ALLOW_DUPLICATIONS,

(String)null,

(String)null,

(String)null);

I get the following exception :

java.lang.NullPointerException

at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.cal.ClientApplication.init(ClientApplication.java:400)

at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.task.WebDynproMainTask.execute(WebDynproMainTask.java:599)

at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.cal.AbstractClient.executeTasks(AbstractClient.java:59)

at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.cal.ClientManager.doProcessing(ClientManager.java:251)

at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.serverimpl.defaultimpl.DispatcherServlet.doWebDynproProcessing(DispatcherServlet.java:154)

at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.serverimpl.defaultimpl.DispatcherServlet.doContent(DispatcherServlet.java:116)

at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.serverimpl.defaultimpl.DispatcherServlet.doGet(DispatcherServlet.java:48)

Can someone please help me that issue ?

    Hi David

    Try with the parameter

    WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_DUPLICATIONS.

    More over i see this that you have written in the init method of the view which means during the start up it self you are trying to navigate. I am not sure about ur scenario but the logical way of doing this is on

    On click of a Button you can write this code which will take you to the target iview.
