Reason for movement in QA11

Dear experts,

When posting the usage decision for an inspection lot, in the case of rejection, the stock goes from quality to blocked, but the system does not give the oportunnity to fill the field "Reason for movement" available in manual stock movements in transactions MB1A, MB1B and MB1C,

We want to use this Reason for movement to analise the information about blocked stocks, but when the stock blocking comes from a usage decision (majority), the system just selects the first reason available as "default"

Is there any way to allow the selection of this reason for movement while posting the usage decision ? Or has anyone classified this reasons in some other way ?

any ideas will be appreciated

Hi ,

While posting to block stock you can click on the document button next to the qty. You can click and maintain a short text in that field . This field can be made mandatory.

If the inspection lot material is linked to a handling unit, QA11 functions differently. I am trying to extend the same reason code functionality to an inspection lot with a HU.

Dear,

Please go throuth this way,

OMJJ --> Click on movement type --> enter your movement type in From & to --> Select your movement type and go in details --> enter + in Control reason of tab Entry Control

after that Go for Reason for Movement --> enter the reason against your movement type.

Go in OMJJ --> Reason for Movement --> enter the reasons which you require against your movement type (Give number to reason)

I ahve find some that,

Go in OMJJ --> Select movement type 350 --> Click on Field Selection (Enjoy) --> Enter movement type : 350, Field name : (GRUND Reason for Movement), and tick on Required Entry

I think it will resolved your issue.

Thank you all for all suggestions, I finally tried to enter the reason as per Smruti advice and it works! Now I'd like to make it mandatory but at least the users can fill the information by SAP standard system.

As I know reason for mvt is available for Scrap & Return delivery only when it comes to QA11/QA12 stock posting.

Check OMJJ config.--> after entering mvt type -->'Reason for mvt ' is available here.If its blank then system do not ask you the same during posting( in QA11 or MB1b) .

actually I have the different reasons set up in OMJJ for mov. 350, I even set up the reason mandatory for this movement type, but it does not allow me to choose among the different reasons when using QA11, it just selects reason '0001' always.

In MB1B it does not allow me to continue without filling reason, I'd like this behaviour for QA11 as well.
