Mass change/replace MIC in inspection plans

Hello,

Is there a way to mass replace MIC in inspection plans or upgrade them to a new version ?

QP27 is not useful for normal MIC which is created as a copy model. I have a MIC where the version has been revised it is maintained as a copy model and there 1000 inspection plans which have to be updated, I can update them using QP02.

I tried changing the latest version to Reference characteristic but QP27 shows everything as locked, probably because earlier it was a copy model.

Any inputs will be appreciated.

I think you mean QS27.

And no, to the best of my knowledge, QS27 will only allow replacement of MIC's that are referenced, not copied. My guess is that because they have been copied, the system has no way of knowing what control indicators hae been chnaged directly in the inspection plans. Therefore the MIC may not longer be compatibile with the new version. Since the control indicators can also impact the selection of sampling procedure if used, those could wind up with significant errors.

It's one of the reasons I strenuously push to use only referenced MIC's and avoid unlocking MIC's. Unfortunately there are a handful of situatoins where they need to be unlocked.

Hello Ameya,

You can try using CWBQM.Try searching inspection plans using your older MIC in CWBQM and then you can replace with your new MIC.

Is there any other way to mass update the newer version of MIC in around 1000 plus inspection plans ? Without manually running QP02.
