Hi
We're implementing ESS/MSS WDA and have an issue with trying to use different languages.
The French language is installed and we have applied the patch for MSS Add-On 1.0 (as per oss note 1608232 - Missing translations), but when logging in to the portal although the mian internet explorer page is all in French, aspects of the SAP content are showing in French, some in German and other bits in English.
For example, the main menu down the left is all French (i.e. 'Team' says ''Equipe'), the team calendar heading says 'Teamkalender' (German)', the months are showing in French (i.e. Janvier, Fevrier etc) and the performance management iView opens in a mixture of German and English.
We have looked at the portal translations functionality, but if we add an iView to the translation worklist it shows nothing to translate?
We were under the expectation that providing the user accounts were setup as French and the language was installed, the iViews should automatically translate as per the users logon preferences?
Has anyone come across issues similar to this before or able to point us in the right direction as to what we may be missing?
Thank you
Regards
Phil
If you installed SP00 of BP MSS Add-On 1.0 before release of the patch,
please apply the patched SP00 again from SAP Service Market Place.

have you applied this patch as explained in the note?
yes if you refresh or delete the cache in SHMM, it should work

Hi Siddarth
Update to my previous note...
One of our other basis team members had used SHMM before and has now deleted the cache. Unfortunately though this has not resolved the issue?
Is there anything that you can think of that we should check?
Thank you

Hi Siddharth
Thank you for your reply, very much appreciated
We applied the initial BPMSSADDON when the portal was initially setup in mid February and applied the patch as per the note on Monday this week (5th March). I believe this means that we applied both in the correct order/timing and don't need to re-apply the patch?
I've had a look in SHMM and am not familiar with what to do within this transaction? I have clicked refresh but this has not resolved the issue.
I am wary of deleting anything without really knowing what I'm doing so have asked a basis colleague who has suggested a re-boot of the system as an alternative to doing anything in SHMM?
Would a re-boot potentially work?
If not, are there specific actions we should do in SHMM?
We have the following areas shown:
CL_ICF_SHM_AREA
CL_SRT_WSP_RT_SHM_AREA
CL_ESH_CA_SHARED_OBJECTS_AREA
CL_WDR_CONF_APPL_SHM
CLUR_NW7_MESSAGE_AREA
CL_WDR_CFG_COMP_SHM
CL_WDR_GLOBAL_TASK_AREA
I can see under the 'Areas' dropdown that we can 'Delete system-wdie' but as I mention above I am obviously slightly wary of clicking this in case it can cause issues elsewhere?
Thank you
Phil
