BEx front end version problem

Hai everybody,

I am trying to edit an existing query. When I open the query designer( from excel sheet) I am getting the following error message is appearing.

The component was edited with a more recent version of the editor. You also have to use the more recent version further. Further processing not possible. Update your fron end"

There is only "ok" and when I clik on ok, the designer closes.

What does this mean? Is it taking about BW version or what is it? I have it edit the query but its not letting me to. Any help is highly appreciated.

you should download the latest version of the BEx frontend (baed on your BW release) - or at least the latest your company is using (if it's a customized query). i can't find the link to it right now though...

Hi Visu,

somebody has developed the Query you are trying to modify with a newer Front End Version. So you need to have the same or higher Release / Patch Level.

To download Patched go through:

http://service.sap.com/swdc -> Download -> Support Packages and Patches -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP Frontend Components -> SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS -> ...
