Our current server has 3 GB of RAM but has become extremely slow and runs out of memory when running basic reports like customer aging report. Client machines can also not run the same reports. We want to buy a new server and request guidance on the specification to include.

We are running SBO 8.81 PL10, have maximum 18 users logging in at the same time. Your support is appreciated.

Your 3GB run is very low,

What is your current database size?

Please refer below for the requirements :

1. IBM xSeries 3400 M3 - this is for Midsize company.

Processor : 2.53GHz/1066Mhz/12MB Quadcore or 2.66GHz/1066MHz/12MB QuadCore

RAM : 10Gig or higher

2. Series: xSeries 3500 M3

Processor: Intel Xeon 3.46GHz or Higher, Quad Core

RAM 10Gig or Higher

There' many to choose from just goto IBM site.

The higher the specification much better but may cost high.

Hi,

Upgrade your server, this will improve performance.

But when the server is upgraded then still slowness occurred

upgrade to a stable higher and stable patch.
