Dear Team,
we are doing one implimentation for our client.
Where in we are planning to use MRP & LTP scenario.
I have one query regarding this as below:
We are implementing LTP & MRP demand planning, our requirement is that, SFG and FG requiremnt should be planned with MRP run and purchase order for RM should not get generated in MRP run,
But in LTP, we require planning for RM should happen, as RM lead time for procurement is 6 months(Imported material), we are planning for RM producrement by manual creation of PR,PO.
Can these be possible RM will plan by LTP and Not by MRP , with same Material master setting.
BOM structues:
FG -
SFG --- RM
Regards,
Jeevan
if you check mark 'mrp dependent requirements' in mrp 4 of the dependent materials, requirements from MRP of the parent material will not be passed to these materials

Dear Jeevan,
There's no contradiction between creating manually PR and PO, and having them planned in MRP. You simply have created the supply elements manually, which is fine, and in advance.
Then when these materials enter the operative MRP time frame, and provided that you ordered enough, no new or additional planning will be created.
But if you still want to pursue your line, you could define these RM as ROP with a very small ROP like 1, so MRP practically is not planning them in the operative run, and in LTP scenario settings you have a flag that will allow you to plan also ROP materials.

Hi Jeevam,
This has nothing to do with material master. Do the settings in MD02 or MD01 for MRP and MS02 for LTP.
