mails being sent out by GRC though no "RSCONN01" job present

Hi,

In our GRC 10 system which we have just upgraded we are facing the issue described below.

Whenever we run anything AC/PC related which triggers an email, the email is actually sent out automatically.

We do not wish this to happen, as we would prefer to send only some selected emails manually.

For example when we run the transaction GRAC_SPM and launch a fire fighter session an email will be triggered and sent to the users email ID.

There is no email job scheduled. I mean there is no job having the ABAP program "RSCONN01" in it which is currently released in the system.

As I am new to GRC is there something that I missed?

Does GRC use some other functionality to send out emails?

Just to clarify no other "standard" emails fired from the system are sent out.

I can see them pending in the queue in SOST with "Message number 672 : Wait for communications service".

Regards,

Rohan.

Hello Rohan ,

  • Have you been Able to Find out the solution to the Above Issue:
  • We have similar requirement in GRC 10.0 implementation  Wherein we want to Restrict the Mails based on some condition.
  • We have an Enchanment for mails via SOST but the GRC mails are directly sent.
  • Is there any way we can Enhance the same ?

Please do share your Inputs on same.
Many thanks.

Hi,

Please excuse me for not updating this for so long.

This was raised with SAP and it turns out this is not handled by the standard SAP mail sending process.

These mails are being sent out due to the configuration parameter setting 4008 under Configuration Settings for Access Control (in SPRO).

The parameter should be currently to "YES". Kindly set it to "No" if you want to stop this

notification.

Also, the program name responsible for sending email notifications from

GRC end is GRAC_SPM_LOG_SYNC_UPDATE (which is present in our system).

Regards,

Rohan.

I don't know much about GRC but i do think it uses SCOT for mails.... Maybe it is point to a different client and thats why they are not showing in SOST.

Hi Juan,

I seem to have provided insufficient information, which has lead to some misunderstanding.

In the system within SOST I do see the sent messages.

The GRC related messages which are sent can be seen with the Message number "718" with the status "Sent".

All other messages which are not sent have the Message number "672" with the status "Waiting".

Rohan.

OOhhhh I see.... now, If thats the case the process must be coded to send the mails particular to GRC bypassing SAPCONNECT. As said before I have no experience with it. Maybe someone else may know if theres a particular sett9ing to avoid this.
