Repair order created from service notification IW52

Hi,

I am currently using the notification action box to create a repair order. When the repair order is generated the line item category is prevented from being changed. If i create the same repair order type independantly the item cat is changeable as you would expect. The repair order material is normally chrageable and therefore does not give me a problem, however, when we decide to complete the repair 'Free Of Charge' then we have a problem. The function module used in the action box config is QM06_FM_TASK_RMA_ORDER_CREATE...any ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks

Ian

This is based on the settings you maintained in VOV4 & repair procedure.

When you do replacement, you will do free of charge delivery. Create separate delivery type for Free of charge delivery. Restrict the copy control from repair order to billing. For Free of charge delivery, restrict the copy control to billing.

VOV4 appears to be configured fine in that we have the default item cat and 2 manual item cats maintained. As i mentioned earlier the repair order works fine when created independantly. It is only when we create the order via the notification action box that the item cat becomes 'greyed' out and therefore prevents you from selecting a free of charge item cat.

Please give what are the item categories maintained from main item to sub item. What is the starting item category for the item creation from service notification?

Give the complete config details of VOV4 used for this.

I guess, in Repair procedure, you have selected Default check box for the action. Make it manual & try.

The repair procedure was set to default as you suggested but after changing it to manual it still prevents the item cat from being changed. Remember when i create a repair order i can change the item cat, it is only when the repair order is created via the action box in the notification it prevents change.
