In crosstab report, I am using percentage based on count, there is rounding problem.

Total sum of a row/column is not equal to 100%. The Crystal report truncate the value after floating point automatically.

It will not let me put decimal placess in to show the values less than 0. please help.

you might have to modify your 'rounding' within the percentage field of the crosstab.

click on one of your percentage values -> right-click -> click on Format field -> click on the numbers tab -> click on customize -> change the rounding drop down to 0.01

Thanks for the reply, it reverts back to no decimals - seems like a lot people are having this issue.

Found this

Hi, there's a bug when you try to show the percentage summary using decimals in a crosstab, it shows the decimal fiels with a zero value. The bug is reported in the document I post here. They also propose a solution for it. But this solution doesn't work (or I can't make it work) when the rows and columns of the cross tab are defined using Specific Order (in this case the groups are defined by the user) and the solution they suggest here doesn't work.

one suggestion would be to use the Display String option to get the display you want.

right click on the cell, go to Format Field > Common tab > Display String.

you can format the display of the value using the available totext options...e.g. Totext(currentfieldvalue, 2)

if this is in fact a bug in your version, you may also wish to apply any service packs and fix packs.

I am surprised - because if you look at the Sample Reports / Crosstab you can see that the % valuesare showing with 2 decimal places.

Hi,

Thank you for posting a reply.

I have entered Totext(currentfieldvalue, 2) - This is now displaying the 2 decimal places but they are all 00.

I know there is a value after the decimal place. - please help

Thanks

hi Naveed,

as mentioned previously, please upgrade your crystal reports designer with any service packs and the latest fix pack. no one on this particular thread experiences the same issue as you. if it is in fact a bug, then it will hopefully be addressed by applying these packs.
