Infopackage Debugging for Genric Datasource in ECC side

Hi All,

I created one Generic Data source which is based on Report in ECC side. This data source is FM based and it passes the value from Report to newly created structure. Report has two mandatory fields Company code and Posting date. The Posting date data is not there in report.

When I am checking this data source in RSA3 and put the Company code and Posting date ,it will show me records.

Same data source I replicated in BW and in Info package put posting date and Company code. When I run the infopackage it shows me the error and prompting me to put date in proper format.(After checking at Job Overview at ECC Side).

Can I debug the program in ECC side from infopackage or any alternatives for this solution.

Hi Tushar,

You can debug your datasource in ECC using Transaction Code RSA3, just enter the name of your Custom DataSource, click on the "Debug Mode" checkbox to select it and click on the "Start Extraction (F8)" button (or hit F8 key).

You can not debug the program from BW side. Check the job log ECC and identify the posting date format which used in the infopackage and pass the date in the same format in RSA3 and try to debug.
