Migration Oracle Versions

What is the minimum Oracle patch level the db has to be in order to do a migration? The company I am working with is migrating from EP6 SP2 P7, Oracle 9.2.04 on Windows Server 2003. They will migrate to NW04 Portal EP6 SPS9 P7 and Oracle 9.2.04.

The reason for the question is: In the guide it shows an example of supported migration of 9.2.06 to 9.2.06.

If an upgrade is needed, does SAP provide the upgrade or can they use an oracle standard patch?

finally, do the two db's have to be the exact same version?

the migration guide is correct. Both source and target must be 9.2.06.
