I created a new request for Bex. but when i display the request in se10, i dont see the objects that I assigned to it. why is that
Hi Farhan,
Is there a open request for BEx? You can check this by going to RSA1 --> Transport Connector -->click on BEx (Truck) button (shiftctrl0) and note that request number. Do you see your objects in this request when you goto SE10.
When you assigned your objects to a request, have you assigned your objects to a transportable package? Have you made a note of the request number when you assigned your objects, can you check that request in SE10.

Sree, thanks for the help. First i had assigned some bex objects to a request which was not created by me. cuz i didnt know how to create a request. Those objects were not transported. Then today I assigned the same objects to a new request that i created. in the new request (SE10), i see no objects. what should i do
Hi Farhan,
Well, you might want to check in which request your objects exist, but you would need to know their technical names, goto SE03 --> objects in requests -->include objects in a transport request -->execute -->selection by type and name --> choose selected objects, choose the type in ELEM (assuming that they are query elements) in one of the blank boxes (select the box), specify the object name and execute to see in which request your objects do exist now.
or alternatively, goto transport connector, accumulate your objects and try to write them to a transport request, either you should get an error message that objects already written to a request (and so you should have the request number) or alternatively you should be able to create a new request (and then you would know the new request number). Hope it helps,
Sree
First you need to make sure you have written all your objects in one request and assigned to a transportable development class/package. If the request you have created is a local change request (you can see this in SE10), then delete this request or if it's a transportable request (when you click on the request, properties, you see a target client) then you have already assigned your objects to a transportable package, you can release this and then have it imported into your target system.
Alternatively you can delete your request(s), and then goto transport connector, accumulate the objects you need, when you scroll to the right you see a column by name "package", make sure you have the right package for all the objects (you can change the package name by right clicking and change the package) for all the objects and click on transport icon which will prompt you for a transport request or you can transport by using BEx transport (shiftctrl0). Hope it helps,
Sree
ok, sorry i think i'm not explaining well. I'm not able to delete the request cuz i'm not the creator of the requet. I just want to get rid of the objects that I assigned to an existing request, so i can then assign all the objects to my own request. And also, how to assgn that to a package. How can i do this .
i appreciate your help
Hi Farhan,
Well, if you have the required authorizations (and it's ok for the owner of the request to have it deleted) you can change the owner by going to SE10, and displaying the request and clicking on the a->b icon to change the owner (F5) or alternatively you can talk to to the owner of the request to get the required objects deleted.
Please see my previous response for assigning the objects to the proper package in transport connector,
Cheers,
Sree
Hi Farhan,
Did you collect any query objects in this request? Simply creating a new request and attaching it to the Dev class would not lead to any objects being added. But yes, if you changed and saved the query after assigning the request, you should see the objects.
Hope this helps...
