Hi,

I've been tracking something very similar via ADAPT01606817 which is due to be fixed in Patch2.13 (Calendar Week 10)

Also, some similar defects are targetted for SP04 (July 2012)

regards,

H

Hello Henry,

We just tested the same issue in SP04 as well as on Sp02 patch 15 however we are still getting the same issue discused above.

Could you please suggest on how to move this forward?

Thank You,

Amol

Sorry to hear that,

Are the queries mandatory or optional?

do they come with a default value or not?

thanks

Hi,

We are facing a similar error and it seems that it has something to do with the display of texts.

First we tried a connection from WebI via BICS to a BW3.5 query. This failed with a large SQL error.

After building the same query in BI7.0 WebI gave the same error as displayed here.

When I took a look in the system log (SM21) in the BW-system, I saw exact the same SQL-error as with the BW3.5 query.

Our query fails on the InfoObject 0ME_ORGLANG (which is referential to 0LANGU).

This InfoObject does not have a text table /BI0/TLANGU, but uses the standard SAP table T002T. The last table has different fieldnames then expected.

Apperently, somewhere in the coding a hard-coded reference is made to fieldnames like TXTSH and LANGU.

Hope this will help to give you some insight in the issue.

Steven Groot

Hi,

Have you opened a Support message (OSS) for this?

It sounds like it could be a SAP logon language issue in BI4.  I have seen some for Chinese, and Serbian recently.

Hi Henry,

Yes, we did open an SAP OSS message for this issue. After lots of discussions the final solution was quitte simple.

Apparently something went wrong in the past with the upgrade from BW3.5 to BI7.0 with the InfoObject 0LANGU. This InfoObject did not have any Master Data Read Class.

So I installed 0LANGU again from Business Content and everything worked fine.

This is also explained in Note 939484.

Please take a look in SM21 as well, with this kind of errors in BOE.

It will provide more helpfull errors than the ones on BOE itself.
