Error : Updatemode R

Hi all,

I was trying to load delta for some master data. the load fails and the system gives me a msg

"The Application program for the extraction of the data was called using Update mode R. However, this is not supported by the infosource"

What is Update mode R? If the infosource doesnt support, what needs to be done to get the delta load?

Any pointers or help would be appreciated.
