We have a situation here.
We had created many internal orders in last year and at that time availability control were not activated.
Hence many postings have happened to these orders eventhough no budgets were entered.
Now this year availability control has been activiated.
Do we have to re-enter the budget figures for these old orders created in the last year ?
If we do not enter the budget, will be further postings be blocked by the system for want of budget ?
Hi,
Yes you have enter the budget, If you wont enter the budget system gives a message no budget enter for fiscal year XXXX.

OK. When you said you activated availability control, how did you do it? If you have your activation type indicator set to "1", it means when you enter budget for that order, that is when availability control gets activated. If there is no budget, I dont think it will activate availability control.
Now, regarding your orders which have already been posted to, you can still enter budget for these orders but i think the system will not go back and look at old transactions during availability control. Any transaction that is posted going forward will be subject to availability control.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the inputs
