We have a requirement wherein the permit to work printout shoud only be possible when operations and maintenance
persons both enter some password or something so that both know that print was taken.
A plausible solution was through user status but it wont be practical for both of them to change user status first
and then go for print.
Any more suggestions how to achieve this?
For a customer I implemented something similar, whereby users needed to authenticate by the entry of user name and password to affirm / sign-off on an action. They didn't need to actually be the logged on user.
I'd use the digital signature tool for SAP applications - using a two step approval approach with passwords as signature. The tool is actually quite good - and gives you the ability to log and report who did what when.. this could be integrated into your report (the permit print).
