Information Steward - Data Insight - Add File: not working

In "Information Steward" (version 14.0.1.128) I select a workspace and on the "Data Insight" tab I select the "Add / Files" command. A window is shown and in the left hand column I select a file connection that I have previously setup in the Central Management Console. In the right hand column it lists the files that at in the folder that the file connection points to.

The problem is that I can't select any of the files and import them. The check boxes are disabled.

Anyone know what would cause this to not work?

Worked it out. You have to create a "File Format" first then select the file format from the drop down next to the file you want to add. The check box to select the file is then enabled.

I hadn't got to the point of making a file format because of issues with file share security permissions on my file connection.

Yes, I think for that you need "Administrator" rights. anyways happy that it worked out for you.

There must be something wrong in your CMC connection to File format, Try to redefine the connection properties in CMC and make sure in the view "External Metadata" is selected.
