How to get Documents Numbering - Series(Table NNM1) by Service Layer

Hi Experts:

I need to get Documents Numbering - Series(Table NNM1) by Service Layer.

I need to get the 'Series' by 'SeriesName'.

But I didn't find a Action which can help us do that in Service Layer API Reference.

Could you please let me know which Action can help me get the 'Series'?

I'm using SAP Business One for HANA 9.2 PL00.

Thanks

Billy

Hi Billy,

Could the SeriesService help for your requirement?

Not sure when this service was added, but since B1H 9.2 PL05 Service Layer supports all DI API objects and services.

Hope it helps,
Trinidad.

Hi Trinidad,

Do you mean literally 'all' objects? For instance 'RecordSet' as well?

Could you please provide the note number that contains a description of the latest amendments to SL?

Kind regards,

Radek

Hi Radek,

By all objects and services I meant business objects and services.

You can check the full list with Service Layer metadata service.

Recordset is not exposed and not planned as is due to possible security issues. Please add your requirements on IdeaPlace with concrete business cases so we can study possible solutions to this limitation.

Another service not yet exposed is Electronic File management. This feature hasn't been yet implemented in Linux. As soon as the feature is implemented in Linux Service Layer will support it. Stay tuned to B1H releases to see on which when it will be available.

Regards,
Trinidad.

Hi Trinidad,

Thanks for explanation.

I guess I'm not the only one who thinks of SL as a replacement for DI Server. And the latter certainly allows you to query database:

I'm going to follow your suggestion and will check IdeaPlace.
