Comparing r/3 and bi ( records count)

Former Member

Hi,

When i extract data from r/3 to bi, at PSA level i got more records when compared with the number of records in RSA3.

I think the records count should be equal. Plz clear my doubt. I checked forums also but no use.

Thanks

generally the data returned by RSA3 and PSA should be the same

check note 529789

1) compare the data with your application table...

2) check the data records/cell in RSA3.

3) Make sure there is no InfoPackage routine to split the records.

It is always better to validate against the base table and applying any logic (if any) in the CMOD.

What is the error? can you give any details?

Also, was the base data changed recently (i.e. after checking the count or something or some sort of reverse postings or something)? if so may be the records would have come more than once...

the errors are

Data Package 152 : arrived in BW ; Processing : Selected number does not agree with transferred n

also the error message in status tab is

1. error during import of results for employee

2. error in source system

message no: RSM340 ( THIS LOG I WAS POSTED IN ANOTHER FORUM)

hi,

looks to me... some kind of IDOC issue, what is the IDOC status in R/3

it seems there is problem in the RFC connection, can you please check in sm58.

menu->qout schecduler , then a screen will appear goto menu again->QRFC Resources

check the status of DIA/WP

if less ask your BASIS to increase DIA processes

check in tcode SARFC see what is the status of system config there..

hope it helps

Hi,

You got 96, 835 records in rsa3, and 3783713 From 3654848 Records in PSA?

So, try loading again, by giving small selections.

e.g: Quarterwise, or month wise.
