Require SAP PI adapter specific exception handling standard document

Hello All,

Currently i am working on SAP PO 7.5 single stack version.

Requirement :-

It is normal file to file transfer (gateway or pass through) using SFTP adapter. There will be no mapping in it.

User/Client concern :-

1) Their concern is that if half files get written on Client server, then what will be the exception handling or error handling, for e.g: On sender side 10 mb file is present which is polled and transfer to Receiver side, but it is 8 mb file only created on receiver side.

Solution from my side :-

I have assured client/user that SAP PI/PO system do not create files until complete 10mb data has been transfer.

Problem :-

But client want official document of SAP PI/PO which explains this exception handling by system itself.

Query :-

Is there any such type of standard document who can explain above solution, it will be helpful if all adapters are included in that exception handling document.

Kindly help for this.

Regards,

Karan Kholakiya

    Hi Karan,

Yes. We have a standard parameter in SFTP Sender Adapter. Under Processing Tab -> "interval (mSec) for modification check". It is a mandatory Parameter which ensures that Communication Channel will check for the file modification before polling. Hence it wont pick half written file.

If the Parameter is not available - Make sure SP of your SFTP SWCV is SP04 and also the latest patch is installed.

And for the document you asked, Check for the parameter "Interval (ms) for modification check" in standard document. https://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw-secure-connect102/helpdata/en/2e/99f0fb5a9e45b3b148c90e87fafcd1/content.htm

      Thanks for you inputs....!!!

Actually my query was with Receiver SFTP channel, It should now write half file in target server.

I know it wont happen but customer require some standard document which give proof of this standard functionality.

Can you please help for it?
