Loading XML Elements to System Forms but how do you create the XMLElements

I have just completed the exercise detailed in

'Loading XML elements to System forms by Felipe Aguilar..

and got it to work, Modified it to use an embedded XML file but other than that worked as stated...

anyway, Just wondered how you would create the elements in the first place.

(hopefully not editing the XML directly)

is there a document detailing how to use screen painter to create the elements?
