Dear Gurus,
i have a issue in MD61,,i want to fill the daily requirement in such a way it should consider capacity .
means if we put 100 ea in daily requirement it should cosider capacity itf per day capacity is 80 ea system should show me the overload.
Siva
Dear Siva,
In standard SAP ,proposing or considering the capacity at the time of giving the independent requirements is not possible either
in MD61 or else during MRP run.
Even during MRP run the system does not checks the available capacity and it does not restrict the creation of planned orders
during overload situation.

Hi,
Feeding the information in MD61 will not create capacity. In order to consider capacity, after feeding the requirement in MD61. When you run MRP keep scheduling "2" lead time scheduling. So that planned orders will have capacity, you can see overload in CM01.

HI,
Another work around will be use of rough cut capacity planning. But for that you have to use SOP.

Hi,
I would advise if you have to check the capacity planning based on daily requirement, then go for long term planning. This planning is simulation planning and it wont process the planned orders and purchase requisitions to the next level.
If you satisfy the result of long term planning then you can transfer to planned independent requirement for further normal activity.
Kindly go through the below link for long term planning,

Please check and revert.

Hi,
As Mr. Mangalraj said the system will not check for available capacity while running MRP or doing MD61. What you can do is give a try how long term planning works and if it suits your requirement.
