Hi

The way we avail RDP / WTS Connections to SAPOSS Experts.

Can we avail for any Third Party Supporting Companies in the same way.

It is clear opening port in SAPROUTER?

Which tool (or) which WTS Client he has to use to connect RDP over SAPRouter ?

Hi All,

Can you please help me out ,how do i allow an external third party application to communicate with my SAP development system via SAP router by using the certificate exchange method

Hi Srinivas,

I guess this is possible. For this you will have to check with your companies network team.

It is the same case of SAPROUTER as well, where in you companies network team would have enabled connection to SAP.

Thanks

Rupali & Jai

Thank for your replies.

Firewall & Security & Network team confirmed,

- - - >SAPROUTER's 3299 port is open to external world

< - - - > SAPSERVER's NETWEORK < - - -> SAPROUTER : all ports are Open

We have exclusive 3389 port permitted to all sap servers in SAPROUTTAB.

The above rule is enabling

Our External Consulting Companies

In GUI they are putting ServerIP, SAPRouter IP and able to make GUI Connections.

But thru SAPRouter , How they can make RDP Connection to our SAP Server.

..mstsc does not have any option like GUI have saprouter string ..

..In such corneres, How external consultnat can make RDP COnnection Over SAPROUTER

Ask your Our External Consulting Company to get port 3389 open to enable RDC.

Once it is done , ask them to connect via SAPserver ip or router ip. let us know result

Rupali...Thank again..

in MSTSC ..we have option only to type 1 IP address

How to embed "Via" SAP Router ( SAP Server IP + Router IP) Option to check - what u are referring.

For SAP Router 3299 Port only Open for external world not RDP port.

Hi PR,

You may ask your 3rd party support team to have fixed IP addresses available to you. You may configure RDP connections via port 3389 to only those selected IP addresses.

Respective entry shall be made in the saprouttab and firewall.

Deepak Kori ...Thanks

That mean what ever we do, 3389 port should be open on internet world for specific hosts ?

When already a RDP Connectiton open.

What value it will add adding 3389 port on SAPROUTTAB

Hi PR,

Objective is to setup point-to-point connection between 3rd Party support team and your SAP network.

Suggestion was not to open port 3389 over the internet for entire world but to restrict it to the gateway of your 3rd party support team.

You are right that saprouter shall not help you here but I was just trying to simulate similar environment.

HI.....Rupali

Over CISCO VPN - We could avail access RDP connection, But we were thinking to centralize all SAP <any> Remote access over SAPROUTER ( the way we have availed to SAPOSS Consultants) was not accomplished.

Still.. I wonder & Uncracked, How SAPOSS experts access RDP Over a SA Router ????

Hi PR,

I believe , we can allow other company to login to our network via SAPROUTER changes.

We have faced similer issue , where we have added IP address entries of 3rd party company to SAPROTTAB to allow them to access. Also there were some firewall changes were performed to allow their connection.

if your router is SNC enabled , while adding other entries , it would have different distinguished name entries.
