Integrated Planning: Dataslice Exit is not called

Dear Experts,

we implemented an application with integrated planning in SAP NW BW 7.00.

As described in the documentation an exit class (method 'is_protected') for dataslices was created, which disables the possibility to change data. The method evaluates the status of the status tracking system.

It worked fine.

Now it seems that the time of execution of the above method has changed.

This may coincide with the upgrade to EHP 1 SP 10.

Now the application remains changeable and the above mentioned method of the dataslice-exit is called, when at least one entry was changed and a planning sequence/function is called. The method delivers the same result and in the message area of the application an error is showing up.

Following the documentation the implemented approach is still correct to lock data for a session, but the method IS_PROTECTED is not called when expected.

Hi,

note 1458977 describes when the IS_PROTECTED method of a data slice will be called by the system.
